The main reason they want us to return to onsite works is that the corporate structure can not comprehend a world where people are not motivated by fear.

They understand that a lot of "office culture" is toxic and pits people against each other, even when promoting "self-care" initiatives.

My husband is an essential worker who will always have to work onsite. However, me working from home has helped us immensely, particularly since we had to homeschool two children during the pandemic.

It has also helped him by cutting out a lot of the unneeded traffic and allowing him a less stressful commute.
