This was a fantastic post. I think one of the reasons this show was so popular in the late nineties and early 2000's was there was actually delusions that we all could obtain this level of wealth if we tried hard enough. It was aspirational television when in truth it was pure fantasy. I am also glad you mentioned the casual display of wealth in the Home Alone movies. Very nice read.
