I appreciate you writing this.

So little is expected of men because back in the day they were the sole income providers. The truth is:

1. Even back in the day, many women contributed financially to the household, particularly if they were working class.

2. Most women work today and do most of the chores and child-rearing.

It is like a man is just given credit for showing up while women are nitpicked to death if one hair on a child's head is out of place.
