In the year 2013, the sting of the recession had begun to fade, at least for me. There are those who never fully recovered from the financial crisis of 2007. Personally, I had gone from laid-off and hopeless to limping along since Wall Street’s meltdown and by 2013 I was probably too eager to pretend the future was bright and forgive the stockbrokers who gambled with working people’s money.
