I truthfully never understand why people alter their online profiles so much. If you want a real relationship then the person will be instantly disappointed in meeting you and will feel like they were tricked.

My friend met a guy who claimed to be 35. When she met him he admitted that he was actually 47 and she realized all his pictures were from 15 years ago.

He had not aged well and looked like a completely different person.
