I think a lot of guys ghost because they think it leaves their options open and perhaps they might even get a late-night booty call out of it.

If you have been having an active relationship with someone for a while, ghosting will lead to heartbreak.

I have had some girlfriends who have reached, " I might introduce this guy to my family" level in a relationship and then the guy disappears.

Of course, I am sure some females ghost as well, but I do not hear about that as much in my circle.
